Everything happens for us. In a recent WSJ article, they said that “people who are successful, talk different — they use different language”. It was very good. I want to add my 2 cents to this. People that are successful, here‘s a phrase I hear them say all the time: “I decided”, as opposed to I feel. I decided to not quit, to go forward, to give it all I’ve got.

I want you to decide speaking this one a lot. That didn’t happen to me, it happened for me. Everything. Love everything that happens and be grateful for all circumstances because even though you may not know what’s happening and how it relates to your life right now, you will.

Arianna Huffington of HuffPo wrote one time, “You have to live your life like there’s a plan for your life.” And maybe much alter when something happens, you go, “oh! I see how I was involved with the plan!”

You have to live your life like it’s stacked in your favor. Thomas Edison, the inventor, was one day caught out of his home and his lab was in flames. He called his children to say “Go get your mother — you’ll never see something like this again.” Only ⅓ of it was covered by the insurance company — he lost $1 million dollars in that fire, the equivalent of $23 million today. Yet his attitude was, “I’m so glad we cleared some of the rubbish, some of the mistakes, so glad we got rid of them.” Because of that attitude, that year he made $10 million — the equivalent of $200 million today.

I believe the phrase, “neurons that fire together wire together.” You keep on speaking something, saying something, you wire your brain for it. Gratitude in all circumstances, keeps speaking this until you believe it. Whatever happened today, happened for you. Believe in all things, love everything that’s happening, as a choice, as I decided — speak it with me — this didn’t happen to me, it happened for me. This makes me thankful for all things, and it makes my brain wired for opportunity. It just fires my neurons — this didn’t happen to me, it happened for me.
